
Presenting a round-up of the project director's special related developments during 2023, 2024 and 2025
The project director met and questioned famous guests at specific events.
The project director had an opportunity to attend several events and had a chance to meet or question different special guests. This includes Sir Trevor McDonald, Roman Kemp, Dr Shani Dhanda, Lucy Edwards & Amy Pohl
In mid-2023, the project director became an event panellist for the first time
My involvement was part of a special autistic awareness event organised by the University of Birmingham.
Special welfare consultation participation
In late 2023, the project director attended a public consultation organised by the Department for Work and Pensions on some proposals for changing the work capability assessment to enable mortgage abilities into employment. In addition, a specially created publication was made which provides analysis through the bigger picture to encourage disabilities into employment.
Featured with awareness charity
The project director was interviewed for a special feature for autism awareness event
The regional and support charity Autism West Midlands develop an article of the project director in an interview for supporting World Autism Acceptance Month in 2025.
Attending special City legacy event
In March 2025, the project director attended a special showcase event which highlighted several diverse and cultural projects for the communities since Birmingham hosted the Commonwealth Games.
Important complaint action
After participating in a major consultation to make some changes to the country's welfare system, the project director took action in April 2024 against the previous government as he felt his voice was ignored and not considered in the consultation. This was after key government ministers made discriminatory and offensive stigma against disabilities.
The project director developed a special representation publication
In late 2024 an especially written document which provides insight and analysis on the challenges on the representation of disabilities with public authorities and the media.
Project director feature on travel safety awareness video
In spring 2025, Keith McKenzie was featured on a special awareness video produced by national diversity training in connection with Transport for West Midlands and West Midlands Safer Travel Partnership
Travel safety education video involvement
In spring 2025, The project director took part in a video education awareness project for Transport for West Midlands, providing insight and guidance for front line travel safety staff and management about neurodivergent experiences related to safety on public transport.
